The Durham Association of Educators organized a "sickout" due to the district's decision on pay cuts, closing 12 DPS schools on Wednesday.

Durham Public Schools are advising parents of a bus driver shortage in the district, which could be a result of proposed changes in pay.

Durham's Northern High School, which just opened on Sept. 5, went under lockdown Tuesday following a student-involved incident in which one student was stabbed.
