A bill passed by the state Senate and House restarting executions is on the governor’s desk. The bill, would remove the requirement that a doctor be present during its execution protocol secret, as well as the company that provided the lethal drug.

A candlelight vigil will be held tonight for Tracy Williams, the Franklinton woman who was gunned down Sunday. Tonight’s vigil will take place at Franklinton Middle School at 2 N. Main St. at 8 p.m.
