According to ABC11, three construction workers were killed today in a scaffolding collapse at construction site in the 500 block of Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh.

It happened around 11 a.m. when the construction platform fell from high up on the Charter Square building. A fourth worker was seriously injured.

According to the construction company, the workers were in the process of removing and lowering the scaffolding when the accident occurred.

The identities of those involved have not been released.
