As the world continues to celebrate the life of Nelson Mandela, triangle residents will have an opportunity to celebrate his legacy Saturday afternoon in Raleigh. The memorial program begins at 2p.m. at First Baptist Church, 101 S. Wilmington St. Speakers scheduled to speak include U.S. Reps. David Price and G.K. Butterfield, state Sen. Dan Blue, state Rep. Rosa Gill, Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane and the Rev. William Barber II, president of the North Carolina NAACP. The Rev. Dumas Harshaw of First Baptist Church will officiate the memorial.
