TREND REPORT: 7 Trends For Spring Summer 2017 From Black Designers At NYFW was originally published on hellobeautiful.com
1. NATURALLY NEUTRAL
Serena Williams proved that khaki and neutrals will be big for SS17.
2. NATURALLY NEUTRAL
Neutrals are perfect because you can build upon the pieces, as well as allow your accessories to show off your style with a pop of color. This sweater dress is by Serena Williams for HSN.
3. NATURALLY NEUTRAL
Pyer Moss color blocks with neutrals for SS17.
4. NATURALLY NEUTRAL
Pyer Moss is on the khaki trend as well. This menswear-inspired, cropped blazer is a perfect transition piece for Spring 2017.
5. LA LA ANTHONY, SERENA WILLIAMS, CIARA
Serena sported the neutrals and sheer trend for her Spring/Summer 2017 runway collection presented by HSN.
6. GO GRAY
Gray is becoming a neutral itself. This color will be huge for SS17 — wear it as a metallic for an extra pop of pizzazz, as shown at the Pyer Moss SS17 show.
7. GO GRAY
LaQuan Smith was inspired by elements of nature, including electrical storms, gusts of wind, and bolts of lightning. You will see gray throughout the collection.
8. GO GRAY
This gray mini bodycon dress by LaQuan Smith is perfect for layering or wearing alone.
9. GO GRAY
You can go gray in patterns. We love this gray jacket with laser cut-outs and white embellishments by Byron Lars.
It’s a pattern party with Byron Lars — he shows us how stripes can be sporty and feminine at the same time.
Talk about a shirt that you can close deals in. This black and white collared stripe shirt is perfect for the runway. The all-white pocket is smart (and useful!).
Pyer Moss shows the versatility of vertical stripes.
Tracy Reese played with stripes in a beautiful way for her SS17 collection. This long dress is the perfect statement for a spring formal or wedding.
14. SHEER CONFIDENCE
The sheer trend is not going away. We love how Serena has played with it using lace for peek-a-boo, I-see-skin style.
15. SHEER CONFIDENCE
Not into showing too much skin? Serena Williams for HSN allows you to show a little skin with this modest V-neck and lace sleeves.
16. SHEER CONFIDENCE
An updated way to wear a ball gown. This off-the-shoulder sheer jumpsuit is paired with this high slit dress. Show a lot while showing nothing at all. LaQuan Smith outdid himself with sheer styles and styling that will flatter many.
17. SHEER CONFIDENCE
How do you take the sheer trend to the office? Serena Williams for HSN shows you how. This blush colored tunic top is perfect with black cigarette pants — add a blazer for 9 a.m. and remove it for after 5 p.m.!
18. SHEER CONFIDENCE
Tracy Reese shows that sheer isn’t just sexy, but uber feminine with this high-neck, sleeveless blouse.
19. IN MY WHITE TEE
White, structured T-shirts were spotted all over the runway. A white, professional T-shirt is something every woman should have in her closet. This deep V white T-shirt by Serena Williams for HSN is the perfect mix between sexy and business.
20. IN MY WHITE TEE
Tracy Reese played with the sheer and white tee trend. This button-down, short sleeve collar shirt has a beautiful sheer floral pattern on one side. This simple detail elevates this shirt in style. (P.S. How much do you love this model’s Afro?!)
21. IN MY WHITE TEE
LaQuan Smith came with the business look with this sexy bell sleeve white T-shirt. Pairing this with these metallic copper pants is perfect for a night out.
22. WHAT A WAIST
Waist cinchers are coming out from underneath your garments! Byron Lars went bold and made a plus-size waist cincher belt. These belts easily create shape and style.
23. FLOURISH WITH FLORALS
Spring is synonymous with florals. Flourish in style with these multi-patterned floral dresses by Tracy Reese. Yes, beauties, it IS on a plus-size woman.
24. FLOURISH IN FLORALS
This Byron Lars skirt is perfect for the girl who wants to wear florals, but not in your typical floral pattern.
