The Town of Zebulon and Zebulon Chamber of Commerce unveiled their joint December holiday celebration “Deck the Hall-Z” to bring communities together for the winter season. Deck the Hall-Z will be held on Friday, December 8 from 5:30-9:00 PM at the Zebulon Municipal Building and Town Hall and is free to the public. The celebration will feature:
- The Zebulon Reverse Parade.
- The Christmas Tree Forest.
- Candy Cane Drop.
- Christmas Car Show.
- Pack Santa’s Sleigh Toy Drive.
- Live music and performances, featuring children from local school bands, dance troupes, and choirs.
- Food and drink from local vendors in Town.
- The Snowy Screen Movie, which closes out the event with a holiday film selected for children and families of all ages.
This event is **FREE** and open to the public. Here’s what you can look forward to:
The Zebulon Reverse Parade: Experience a unique twist on a traditional parade where the units will be stationary, allowing spectators to walk through and enjoy the displays up close.
Candy Cane Drop: Witness a delightful surprise as candy canes descend and children scurry about filling their stockings with holiday delights.
Live Music and Performances: Enjoy live entertainment featuring talent from our school bands, dance troupes, and choirs.
Local Food and Drink: Indulge in delicious treats and beverages from local vendors.
The Snowy Screen Movie: Conclude the evening with a heartwarming holiday film featuring The Grinch (2018).
Pack Santa’s Sleigh: We invite all participants and attendees to bring new, unwrapped toys to Deck the HallZ. These toys will be collected and donated to Zebulon-based nonprofit Share Thrift Boutique. Children in need identified by Share will receive these gifts making their holidays a little brighter and warmer.
This year, Deck the HallZ is a reimagining of our traditional Christmas parade, prioritizing community engagement and safety. You, the community, is creating a winter wonderland right here in the Town of Zebulon to bring joy to all.
What’s New?
A New Place: Deck the HallZ will be held on the Town of Zebulon Municipal Grounds this year.
A New Look: The parade format will be different, with a “REVERSE Parade” where units are stationary, and spectators walk through to view the displays.
A Time to Get Creative: This new format allows for creative displays, using trailers, canopies, and electricity to light up the night.
Sweet Treats: Displays are permitted to hand out candy to spectators.
