A letter written by Coretta Scott King, the widow of the late Martin Luther King Jr which helped deny Jefferson Sessions a Alabama federal judgeships in 1986 has been made public. Thirty years later, Sessions is again undergoing confirmation hearings as President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for attorney general and faces strong opposition from civil rights groups.
