Alan Lassiter is being held in the Durham County jail after allegedly trying to drown his 3 children Sunday night in a pond behind an apartment complex.
WNCN is reporting that the man’s 911 call has been released:
“CPS was trying to take my kids away from me. All I did was try to go get help…[inaudible]…I was dealing with some sexual desires…I started to go get help with, but instead they turned their back on me, the whole system and tried to take my kids [crying inaudible]..ya’ll take this and ya’ll left me. When somebody asks for help, really help them OK? Really help them, because ya’ll didn’t help me.”
The 29-year old Lassiter is being held under a $2,250,000 bond.
The 3-year old girl is listed in critical condition. The 5-year old girl is in stable condition. The 7-year old boy was able to run away and get help. He is currently with relatives.
