I would like to nominate my husband John Marshall as a Real Father, Real Man. John & I have been married for 17 years. We have been together since high school, and in that time I have seen him deal with much tragedy. In 1997, his 17-year-old brother tragically died in an accident. In 2003, we lost our newborn son in death. About nine years later, his best friend was killed in a domestic violence incident. Through all of this tragedy, John has remained a strong spiritual man and husband. Since the birth of our son in 2008, he has blossomed into an even greater man by becoming an amazing father. It is wonderful to watch our son look up to him in awe.
One thing about tragedy is that it shows you not to take one day for granted. For the past eight years, John has worked on turning his hobby of illustration design and writing into a small business. We have recently moved into a home that has a great unfinished area that he would like to turn into an art studio, but of course that will cost money. I would love for John to have a few dollars to help him start the construction work in that area of the house. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated!
