Spirits Soar On First Day Of Kwanzaa (thumbnail)

Don’t miss the 20th Annual Cary Kwanzaa Celebration, today from 11am-3pm at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. The cultural celebration includes a vendor market and children’s village with a ceremony and performance by Chuck Davis and the African-American Dance Ensemble at 3pm.

The African-American Dance Ensemble’s KwanzaaFest 2015, features Chuck Davis and the African-American Dance Ensemble in a day of community celebration around Imani, the last day of Kwanzaa that celebrates faith. The event is FREE and open to the public, January 1, 2015, Durham Armory, 220 Foster St. Doors open at 12noon, children’s activities begin at 12:45pm. The program which includes dance, music and more and begins at 2 pm. The children’s village offers drumming, arts, crafts, and other activities
