United States Olympian Justin Gatlin might have been overshadowed by Usain Bolt when the athlete pounded the track on Sunday night during the 100 meter race, but he won a medal for his efforts when he placed third. Fans in the USA are really excited Justin Gatlin won the bronze medal as the efforts of the athlete were definitely extraordinary.

Coming in hard, Gatlin had a time under 10 seconds and it was obvious he was pushing to make the medal happen for himself and his fans. In what has to be a busy time, the athlete didn’t forget his friends and fans who supported him. Taking to Twitter on Sunday night, he made sure everyone was aware he was grateful for the help.

“Thank u to allllll me tweeps for the surpport! U all push me to be better every day this year! This is for you! Ps more to come!” tweeted Justin Gatlin from his official Twitter account. The athlete definitely knows that the moment in the Olympic Stadium might be the result of all his hard work, but it was a number of people along the way that helped him make it to the London Olympics.

It’s definitely awesome to see so many athletes sharing their moment with the Olympic fans. Knowing the medal is a national opportunity of goodwill, athletes like Justin Gatlin carefully carry it with pride.
