She hasn’t gone country, but R&B singer Anita Baker has chosen to record her upcoming Blue Note album in the country music capital.

“I’m going to Nashville to mix it up, shake it and see what comes out,” Baker said in a statement Monday, explaining, “they still know how to make a record in analog.”

Baker says she will work with producers George Duke, Nathan East and Daniel Moore, Baker in the Tennessee city this spring. The album will also include her collabo with Snoop Dogg on a “big, lush” version of Curtis Mayfield’s “Give You My Love” that she promises “is going to raise eyebrows.”

A release date for the new album was not announced. In the meantime, Baker will be a headliner at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 25.
