The Triangle is under a “Winter Storm Warning”.

Look for up to 8 inches of snow this weekend, the snow will start falling late Friday night and into the day on Saturday. Roads will become dangerous overnight, and if you don’t have to be out stay off the roads. Counties to the north and east of Raleigh could get even more, and once that snow falls, it could be here for a while.

The heavy snow may make many roads impassable and travel will be hazardous on major interstates and highways along north of US 64. This includes I-40 between the Triad and the Triangle, I-85 North-Northeast of Durham and I-95 north of Rocky Mount.

Several school districts in our area are cancelling after school activities today including Wake County Public schools, all school activities are cancelled through the weekend.
