Chris Murphy walked over and joined the sit-in, he’s the lawmaker who led a nearly 15-hour filibuster in the Senate last week asking lawmakers to vote on gun reform.

Senators failed to gather the required bipartisan support to pass a series of gun control measures on Monday. Democrats want votes on the “no fly, no buy” and background check measures before the July 4 recess, which GOP leaders aren’t open to scheduling.
