The NCDOT wants us to know that the posted speed limit is the law. There is no official “buffer zone” that allows you to drive a few miles over the speed limit.
Rumors circulated this week that the law enforcement that drivers would get pulled over for going even one mile above the speed limit. Officials want people to know that they can be pulled over for going any amount over the speed limit and this has always been the case.
