Blacks in baseball history matters!

The Anderson Monarchs Little League Baseball team from South Philly will embarked on the Barnstorming Tour in honor of the Civil Rights Movement and the Negro League featuring baseball hero Jackie Robinson.  The little leaguers will travel up and down the coast on a 23-day,  20- city tour playing baseball wherever the 1947 Flxble Clipper bus stops in the Deep South . The baseball league consist of 13 and 14-year-old players. President Obama will get on the bus with players this Thursday in Washington, DC. Also, Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones will get on the bus this Friday at 6:15 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites Richmond/ Virginia Crossings located 101 Technology Park Drive, Glen Allen, Virginia

The Anderson Monarchs with pitcher Mo’Ne Davis will take on the Metropolitan Junior Baseball League on Saturday, June 20, 2015, 10am at the Glen Allen RF & P Park located 3400 Mountain Road.
