Ronald Isley, former lead vocalist and composer for the Isley Brothers began his career in the church. A the age of three he won a $25 war bond for singing at a spiritual contest. By the age of seven, Ronald was singing on-stage at venues such as the Regal Theater in Chicago, alongside Dinah Washington and a few other notables.

As lead singer and composer for the Isley Brothers, he recorded a long string of hit singles including “Shout,” “This Old Heart of Mine,” “It’s Your Thing,” and “Don’t Say Goodnight,” and more than two dozen gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums.

Isley has influenced many artists such as The Beatles, Jimi-Hendrix, R. Kelly, El DeBarge, Faith Evans, Ne-yo, Erykah Badu to name a few. If you don’t know Ron Isley’s music you don’t know music. His career spans over fifty years and he shows no signs of slowing down.
