The Civil War saga “Lincoln” leads the Academy Awards with 12 nominations, including best picture, director for Steven Spielberg and acting honors for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones.
Congrats to the movie “Beasts of the Southern Wild.” The indie film up for Best Picture slot, along with a Best Director nomination for Behn Zeitlin and a Best Actress nod for nine-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis, the youngest actress to ever receive an Oscar nomination.
Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane, will host the 85th Oscars live Feb. 24 on ABC from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
