1. July 4th Celebration at NC State Fairgrounds

The NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh will host a fireworks show. The festivities start at 5:00 pm and will end at 9:00 pm. Activities include arts & crafts, 4th of July hat making, a Nature Program, and a Taiko drumming show. The Raleigh Police and Fire Department will sponsor more fun for the kids: an obstacle course, design-a-park activity, Wii games, bingo, and a scavenger hunt. Admission and parking are free.

2. NC Symphony Summerfest

Attend a free concert presented by the NC Symphony at the Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary, North Carolina. One of Raleigh’s biggest fireworks display will also be a part of this Independence Day celebration. The gates open at 3 pm and the event is free for all. The Koka Booth Amphitheater at Regency Park is an outdoor concert arena, so don’t forget a blanket and lawn chair.

4.Festival for the Eno

Festival for the Eno is among the biggest 4th of July Celebration in Durham. Musical performance of blue grass, folk, old time, gospel, and world music are part of the event. A few of the performers of the weekend are the African American Dance Ensemble, Children of the Horn, Donna Herula, John Shain Trio, Too Much Fun, the Cane Creek Cloggers, Nancy Middleton Band, and many more. The festival begins on Saturday, July 2 and lasts until on Monday, July 4th.
