For nine days, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was silent about domestic abuse and child abuse issues surrounding several players in the NFL. After a predictable press conference filled with hardly any substance the football league, fans and players took to social media wishing he’d kept his mouth shut on the 10th day.
The only thing Goodell said that sounded decisive, he was not resigning, something fans did not want to hear. He repeatedly said, “We will get it right.’’ In light of the commissioner’s initial slap on the wrist of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee, and the football league’s loud silence on Adrian Peterson’s alleged child abuse, the NFL’s stars are tired of Goodell.
Do you think the football league will get it right.
