Former UNC grad and ESPN sports announcer Stuart Scott, announced that he is battling cancer for the third time. Scott tweeted,”Blessed by prayers..I’m back in the Fight. C reared its head again. Chemo evry 2 wks but I’ll still work, still work out..still #LIVESTRONG”
Scott was first diagnosed with cancer in 2007 after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. Doctors found a rare malignancy known as appendiceal cancer. He also received chemotherapy in 2011, and plans to continue work the best he can around his treatments.
