For weeks, it was rumored that Mirlande Wilson had the winning mega millions ticket. Her story began to fall apart when she first said that she hid it at work then later said she misplaced it. It was all a ruse.

Good news, the real winners have finally come forward. They are three public school system employees who want to remain anonymous, they are two teachers and the other in an administrative post. The trio is Maryland’s big winners of the Mega Millions lottery and will split more than $105 million after taxes.

The Kansas winner has also asked to remain anonymous, while the winning ticket-holder in Illinois has yet to come forward.

The Maryland winners opted to pool their money and purchase 20 tickets each, for a total of 60 tickets. The youngest of the group held onto the tickets and checked them immediately following the drawing. The “Amigos,” who each work multiple jobs, will continue to work for now.

Mirlande Wilson, your 5 seconds of fame are over, as Huggy Low Down would say, Mirlande Wilson you are the “Bama” of the week.
