Smithfield police are investigating a shooting outside a men’s club that injured a 12-year-old Sunday.
Officers arrived at the Progressive Men’s Club on Old Goldsboro Road just before 1 a.m. Sunday in response to a shots fired call.
Police say a private party was in progress inside the building when someone began shooting outside. Officers found a 12-year-old in the parking lot who had been shot in the stomach.
