3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Looking to have some fun this spring with your kids and dogs? Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) has eggs-actly what you’re looking for. The annual Egg Hunt series is back at DPR recreation centers and parks across Durham. Don’t miss out on your chance to get in on the egg hunting action this year.

Spring Egg Dive

Date: Saturday, April 5, 2025

Time: 3 – 5 p.m.

Location: Campus Hills Pool, 2000 S Alston Avenue

Cost: City Resident Fee: $6, Non-City Resident Fee: $11

It’s an Eggstravaganza at Campus Hills! Dive, splash, and swim for eggs and win prizes at our Spring Egg Dive event. All swim levels are welcome, and life vests will be provided. An adult will need to enter the water with children 9 years of age and younger. Registration is limited. This event is open to all ages.

Dog-Gone Egg Hunt

Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025

Time: 1 – 4 p.m.

Location: Rock Quarry Event Field, 701 Stadium Dr.

Cost: FREE and no registration required.

Don’t let your canine companion miss out on this spring tradition! Bring your dog to Rock Quarry Park where they will experience an egg hunt: canine style! After you are done hunting for eggs, you can explore all the local vendors we will have for hand-crafted dog products. The Dog-Gone Egg Hunt will be held rain or shine.

Egg Hunt at West Point on the Eno

Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025

Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Location: West Point on the Eno – Picnic Shelter, 5101 N Roxboro Street

Cost: FREE and no registration required.

Join us for our 38th Annual Egg Hunt at West Point on the Eno. Children aged 0-12 will be divided into groups according to their age for the egg hunt. Find the golden egg and win an egg-cellent extra prize! All age groups will start hunting at 10:15 a.m., with games and crafts to follow.

Egg Hunt at Campus Hills

Location: Campus Hills Park Ball Field, I.R. Holmes Gymnasium, 2000 S Alston Avenue

Cost: FREE and no registration required.

Calling all egg hunters aged 0-12 for an egg-citing day of adventure! Get ready for a spring celebration like no other at the Annual Egg Hunt at Campus Hills Park. Join us on April 12 at 10:00 a.m. for a family-friendly event filled with excitement, prizes, and community spirit.

This year’s Egg Hunt promises to be better than ever, featuring prizes, gifts, and grand prize baskets generously sponsored by the National Panhellenic Council of Durham & Orange Counties. A new feature for this year’s egg hunt will be a photo booth, graciously sponsored by Jones Orthodontics. Children are invited to join in the fun and hunt for colorful eggs. All eggs have candy, toys, and other trinkets. Don’t forget to bring your basket! In addition to the egg hunt, there will be a variety of craft activities for kids to enjoy, along with photo opportunities to capture the perfect Spring moments. The event will culminate with the announcement of free raffle winners! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and celebrate the joy of the spring season in our vibrant community. The event is free and open to the public.
