During Thursday’s press conference, reporter April Ryan the White House correspondent, and Washington bureau chief for American Urban Radio Networks, asked Trump if he planned to include the Congressional Black Caucus in his urban agenda.

Trump went on to say that he had been trying to set up a meeting with Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee and a CBC member. Trump then presented an “alternative fact”, saying that Cummings had not followed through in setting up the so-called meeting, but the CBC tweeted its side of the story.
The White House is finally working to schedule a meeting between Trump and the Congressional Black Caucus after being called out.
