Justin and Sharay are both 24 and have dated since the second year of college. After graduating last spring, they decided to move in together. They’ve had few issues, but Sharay says Justin has changed since securing a great paying job. He told Sharay to keep her rent money from her waitress job and save it. While it sounded like a good idea, Justin now expects her to play housewife.

Sharay feels that while they are in a relationship, the only commitment they’ve made is to be roommates and she did not sign up to be the only one cooking and cleaning. Justin says if he’s paying their rent there shouldn’t be a problem. Sharay wants to know how can she create boundaries without being unappreciative of Justin’s help or if she should take this as a red flag?
