Singer Sevyn Streeter was scheduled to perform the national anthem at last night’s Philadelphia 76ers’ home opener. But the performance never happened.

Apparently, the folks in charge weren’t feeling Sevyn’s “We Matter” jersey.

A statement from the team read:

“As we move from symbolic gestures to action, we will continue to leverage our platform to positively impact our community.”

“The Philadelphia 76ers organization encourages meaningful actions to drive social change. We use our games to bring people together, to build trust and to strengthen our communities.”

Sevyn said that the team never gave her a dress code for the event.
