The “Material Girl” Madonna is set to pay tribute to the late music icon Prince on the Billboard Awards tonight. She’s enlisted the assistance of Questlove and the Roots, to share a few words about Prince, that will lead into her performance at the ceremony.
Madonna has a lot to prove tonight, after thousands of Prince fans hit social media, questioning whether she was fitting to pay tribute to his Royal Badness when it was first announced by Billboard.
The awards show is being hosted by rapper Ludacris and singer Ciara, and airs live at 8pm from Las Vegas.
