Founder of Honey Shine Incorporated and wife of NBA legend Alonzo Mourning, Tracy Wilson Mourning has been an advocate for the empowerment of young women for over ten years.
She talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about her foundation and the importance of mentoring, not only for young girls but women too.
“Its a mentoring program for girls from eight to 18. It’s about exposure to different things. For me all it took was someone taking me out of my neighborhood that one time to see something else. We’ve started 14 years ago…we’re in Dallas now. It’s just about a holistic approach to nurturing our young girls.”
