Matthew Knowles is teaching seminars about getting into the entertainment business. The seminar is for aspiring performers, writers, managers and attorneys, according to Page Six.
Page Six says that some see the seven-hour seminar as Knowles scrambling to make money. He hasn’t had busness ties to Beyonce since 2011.
Knowles wants people to know that he is an educator. “As an educator, most people don’t know, I taught for 10 years at the collegiate level. For eight years I’ve taught here in Houston at Texas Southern University. As an educator, this is what I do for a living. This seminar is just an extension of that.”
“I’m not just Beyoncé’s father,” said Knowles. “People want to brand me as that. I’m the brains behind the success.”
The next seminar is in Houston. He also has dates coming up in New York City, Washington, DC, Baltimore and Norfolk, according to Page Six. Interested? Get the details here.
