“Too street.”
That’s what Anthony Horowitz, the author of the latest bond book, said about Idris Elba as James Bond. He thinks Elba is a great actor, but he’s “too street.”
TOO STREET.
Here’s the exact quote:
“Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better. For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a colour issue. I think he is probably a bit too “street” for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”
Yeah. Like how he was “too street” when he turned Kate Middleton into a giddy school girl? Remember that?
Guess this is “too street” as well.
