McDonnell Wants To Stay Free While Case On Appeal To Supreme Court
Former Governor Bob McDonnell was sentenced to 24-months in prison early this year following his corruption convictions. McDonnell appealed his case to the Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to remain free until a ruling comes. The appeals court upheld his convictions last month. Lawyers for the ex-governor sited fairness Monday to keep him free while he appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court.
