It’s been 31 years since the release of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” with Halloween creeping up on us get ready MJ fans, his iconic Thriller video is getting a 3D overhaul. John Landis, who directed the 14-minute clip back in 1983, announced that the “Thriller” music video will be getting the 3D treatment in 2015. Landis says, “It is going to reappear in a highly polished and three-dimensional way that is very exciting on the big screen.

The project finally has the green light after several years dispute with MJ’s estate. Landis plans to bring the video to theaters and Blu-ray in the near future. In 2009, Thriller was inducted into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, the first music video to receive the honor.
