The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter (LFANC) is hosting its “2014 Lupus Empowerment Series” educational seminars in Fayetteville and Raleigh on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

The two-part seminar in Fayetteville takes place from 10:00AM-1:00PM at Miller Motte College located at 3725 Ramsey Street in Fayetteville. Michelle Martin, PT, of the Cape Fear Valley Rehabilitation Center will present Part 1 “Lupus and Exercise.” Part 2 will include a panel discussion of “Lessons in Lupus.”

The two-part seminar in Raleigh runs from 10:00AM-1:00PM at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church located at 7506 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh. Dr. Keisha Gibson of the UNC Kidney Center will present Part 1 “Lupus and the Kidneys.” Part 2 will feature a panel discussion of “Lessons in Lupus.”

The “2014 Lupus Empowerment Series” is an eight-city series of educational seminars throughout North Carolina whereby participants learn from subject matter experts. The remaining four will take place on June 21 in Asheville and Wilmington and on Sept. 6 in Charlotte and Greensboro. There is no charge to attend these seminars.
