Harriet Tubman Sex Tape Really Russell Simmons
A comedy sketch posted on Russell Simmons’ All Def Digital YouTube channel, “Harriet Tubman S*x Tape” is totally wrong and disrespectful. The video parodies the efforts of a woman who successfully led hundreds of enslaved Black men and women to freedom. During the three and half-minute clip, the implication is that the only way Ms. Tubman was able to free so many Black people was for her to sleep with their White plantation owners.
Simmons, founder of the hip-hop label Def Jam has since written a lengthy apology on Globalgrind.com. and has taken the video down.
