Simone’s legacy will live on through one of the places where it all started, her childhood home. For the past decade, efforts have been underway to honor Simone by those who admired her talent and accomplishments and appreciated her legacy as a musician and a civil rights spokesperson.

There are reports, a new reality show will document the restoration of the legendary singer’s birthplace home, a project that has been on-going since her death in 2003. The reality show is set to air on the History Channel and PBS, the series will also share her remarkable rags-to-riches story and how she became one of the most inspiring musicians in the history of music.
