Nathan Morris, one of the founding members of Boys II Men had a knack for music as early as the fourth grade. The quartet found inspiration in New Edition’s harmonies and routines, and eventually named the group “Boyz II Men”. When four teenage students of Philly’s High School for Creative and Performing Arts snuck backstage after a 1989 Bell Biv DeVoe concert, they serenaded BBD member Michael Bivins with an acapella rendition of New Edition`s `Can You Stand The Rain` and the rest is history. Nobody could have predicted the groundbreaking, history-making success that was to follow in the course of the next decade
