Applications are being accepted for the 2012 North Carolina Central University Summer Youth Business and Entrepreneurship Academy presented by the Make It Happen Foundation and Inspired by LEAD, hosted by the School of Business.

The Academy is July 23 – August 3, 2012 and open to 20, high achieving rising 10th and 11th grade students, with a B average or higher, from Durham, N.C., and surrounding counties. Students will receive business training and exposure to higher education on the campus of NCCU, free of cost. The two-week Academy includes lectures, corporate visits and business plan development and team competition.

The Make it Happen Foundation was founded by Kevin Liles, former President of Def Jam Records and Founder and CEO of KWL Enterprises, and his wife Erika.
