The City of Raleigh’s 14th annual expo for small disadvantaged minority- and women-owned businesses will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Southeast Raleigh High School, 2600 Rock Quarry Road. The expo is free.

The expo is held annually to provide small disadvantaged minority- and women-owned businesses with an opportunity to talk one-on-one with purchasing and acquisition representatives from participating entities. These include the City of Raleigh, Wake County, Wake Tech Community College, Wake County Public School System, the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the State Office for Historically Underutilized Businesses. The representatives also will share information with small businesses about upcoming projects for 2012.

To RSVP for the event, email: maria.a.torres@raleighnc.gov or phone 996-4271 or 996-3840. RSVPs are due by Jan. 18. If weather conditions are adverse on the day of the expo, contact the City of Raleigh at 996-3840.
