She will discuss her Joining Forces initiative and her plans for its upcoming one-year anniversary in April. As First Lady, Mrs. Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, launched Joining Forces, a national initiative to recognize, honor and support military families. The initiative aims to educate, challenge and spark action from all sectors of society to ensure that military families have the support they have earned.
