Add “For Colored Girls” piece of man meat Omari Hardwick to the Hollyweird unemployment line right behind Boris Kodjoe.

TNT has pulled the plug on “Dark Blue,” which wrapped it’s second season on air on September 15.

When the cable channel renewed its other shows, including ‘The Closer,’ ‘Leverage,’ ‘Hawthorne,’ and the two freshmen series ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ and ‘Memphis Beat,’ months ago, it seemed inevitable that the cop show would get the ax.

The show, which was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and starred Dylan McDermott, Logan Marshall-Green, Nicki Aycox, Tricia Helfer and ‘For Colored Girls’ Omari Hardwick, averaged 2.25 million viewers last season, significantly lower than TNT’s hit shows ‘The Closer’ (7.21 million) or ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ (6.89 million).

Its season finale pulled in 1.61 million viewers.

It’s not all bad news though: TNT did keep it’s other police drama “Southland,” starring Regina King. And “For Colored Girls” pulled in $30.9 million through it’s second weekend in theaters.
