A male student was hit by a school bus on Guess Road in northern Durham County Friday.
Investigators said two students were roughhousing next to the road when one of them ended up on the road in the path of the bus.
The boy’s injuries are serious, but not life threatening.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is handling the investigation of the 6:43 a.m. incident.
