A North Carolina food company, SunBurst Foods of Goldsboro has issued a recall for nearly 150 products. Recalling all its SunBurst, Fresh Bites and Private labeled products. The products have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people, and people with weak immune systems

The products being recalled were sold in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. The recalled products include sandwiches, hamburgers, chili dogs, salads and a long list of other items. The list of private label products include the following: River Edge Farms, CFW, Southern Zest, CJ’s Vending, Binford Street Deli, Middle Georgia Vendors, Roanoke Foods, Select Foods, and Jesse Jones (Double Chili Dogs) are also being recalled.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products are urged to destroy them or return them to the store where they purchased the items for a full refund. Consumers with questions can contact the company at (919) 778-2151.
