Over the years I’ve seen hundreds of shows and performers, R & B singer Charlie Wilson is in a league all his own. From the beginning Charlie captivated the crowd with unstoppable moves and showmanship. The evening was non-stop, full-of-energy- with outstanding musicians -wardrobe changes that dazzled the crowd.
This soulful performance at the DPAC will go down as one the best R & B shows this year. His testimony of homelessness, drug abuse and prostate cancer was very moving. Charlie has that “it factor” that separates those who are simply good singers from true entertainers. Charlie is the man. The total package. His voice is still gold. He lit up the stage.
