Koka Booth, the former Mayor of Cary who oversaw its boom into one of the most populous towns in North Carolina, has died.

Tuesday, October 10 is an election day in North Carolina.  Citizens in nine counties will cast their votes in 30 municipal races, including three cities in the Triangle: Cary, Durham, and Fayetteville. 

The Durham-Chapel Hill area and the Raleigh-Cary area rank within the top 10 of WalletHub's study of the country's most educated cities.
