GalaxyCon Raleigh Brings Celebrity Guests & a New Street Festival
Raleigh is gearing up for the much-anticipated GalaxyCon 2025, taking place at the Raleigh Convention Center from Thursday, July 24, to Sunday, July 27. Justin Burkhart, GalaxyCon’s public relations manager, spilled all the exciting details about this year’s event.
GalaxyCon has been a staple in Raleigh since 2017, and this year promises to be its biggest yet. Fans can look forward to appearances from a host of celebrities, including William Shatner, Susan Sarandon, Andy Serkis, and Giancarlo Esposito, alongside nostalgic reunions like the cast of 90210 and a special celebration marking 50 years of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. For those who loved Twilight or Hazbin Hotel, get ready to see some familiar faces too.
What’s brand-new this year is the GalaxyCon Street Festival. For the first time, Fayetteville Street transforms into a fandom wonderland. Burkhart described this free event as “a fun, free-for-all,” complete with live music, DJs, wrestling matches, food trucks, and even a fudge-eating competition. The festival takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., ensuring everyone, even those without tickets, can join the celebration.
For the convention itself, tickets are selling fast. Limited single-day tickets for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday can still be purchased at galaxycon.com, but Saturday and multi-day passes are already sold out.
