Noah Lyles Tests Positive For COVID-19, Still Wins Bronze In Men’s 200
Noah Lyles has been turning heads for days at the Paris Olympics, and his latest revelation has certainly sent waves through the world of Track & Field once more.
Lyles stated Thursday night that he tested positive for COVID-19. The results of his test came back on Tuesday. Despite the diagnosis, he took home the bronze in the men’s 200 meters.
The third-place finish was clocked at mere seconds behind Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and Kenny Bednarek of the U.S.

Lyles is among 40 other Olympic participants who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 since the games began.
After the race was completed, Lyles collapsed flat on the track while he labored to catch his breath. He was eventually wheeled away in a wheelchair. Oxygen was offered, but Lyles didn’t appear to take it.
Lyles also suffers from asthma.
