The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has recalled turkey products linked to a salmonella outbreak. JENNIE-O TURKEY is recalling nearly 91,3888 pounds of ground turkey products. The raw ground turkey items were produced on September 11, 2018.

1-LB. PACKAGES OF “JENNIE-O TACO SEASONED GROUND TURKEY” WITH A “USE BY” DATE OF 10/02/2018
1-LB. PACKAGES OF “JENNIE-O GROUND TURKEY 85% LEAN | 15% FAT” WITH A “USE BY” DATE OF 10/02/2018
1-lb. packages of “Jennie-O ITALIAN SEASONED GROUND TURKEY” with a “Use by” date of 10/02/2018
Symptoms of salmonella infection include fever, diarrhea and stomach cramps, the symptoms usually last four to seven days. Most people recover without treatment, however, in some rare cases, the infection can cause death if a patient is not treated with antibiotics. The outbreak began last year has already infected 164 people in 35 states. Of those, 63 people have been hospitalized of which one person died in California.
