Pat McCrory has given up his efforts to maintain his seat as the governor of North Carolina. Just after noon today, the governor conceded to democrat Roy Cooper.
Roy Cooper leads McCrory by more than 10 thousand votes.
Over the weekend, the Durham County Board of Elections had been recounting more than 94,000 ballots from the early voting period. The recount numbers were virtually the same as the original vote count.
