Rapper Coolio, known for his single “Gangsta’s Paradise,” was arrested at LAX after a loaded firearm was discovered in the rapper’s carry-on bag during a security screening on Saturday. His bodyguard attempted to pass the carry-on bag through security as his, but it was later determined the bag belonged to Coolio.
The rapper was charged with both possession of a firearm by a felon, and suspicion of possessing a stolen loaded firearm, he was booked at LA’s Pacific Station and later released on $37,808 bail. Coolio posted a video statement addressing the incident.
